Author Talk: American Veterans on War
Author Talk with Elise Forbes Tripp and Chris McGurk, decorated veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan. Come and hear stories of war veterans from ages 20 to 90. Learn about the types of stress war veterans go through during and after combat. Hear unique perspectives about the reasons for going to war and speculation about why wars are so difficult to end.

Northampton's 2nd Annual Ice Art Festival
Ten magical works of ice will grace downtown during Northampton’s second annual Ice Art Festival beginning on Friday, February 10, 2012. The public is invited to witness the creation of fabulous ice sculptures starting at 10 am that day. These artfully created masterpieces will highlight Northampton's "Arts Night Out," 5-8pm. They will remain on display throughout the weekend, and if the weather cooperates, until Valentine’s Day!
Don Chapelle will start sculpting in front of Thornes at 11 AM on Friday, February 10th.

Two Kinds of Texture
Drawings, collages and one-of-a-kind books by Ann Lewis and Kandy Littrell.
Friends pair up to explore line, narrative, and surface. Ann makes books, collages, and richly layered encaustic paintings related to her writing. Kandy is showing original ink drawings and printed samples of unconventional fabric designs inspired by modern life, insects, kissing and cars.

A Cappella Group to Sing at Herrell's
Hampshire College's a cappella group, the Gin & Tonics, will be performing at Herrell's on Sunday,
February 12 at 3:00pm in celebration of Valentine's Day. They will be singing love songs of all types!
A free serving of Hot Fudge to all customers who come in during the event.
Bring your sweetheart to Herrell's for some delicious ice cream, hot fudge and romantic song.
